What we collect and why
When you book mastering
We ask for your name, email address, phone number, address, country and, if relevant, your company and VAT number. We also ask for details about your release, such as the artist, title, deadline, chosen services and any notes you add. We use this to carry out your project, contact you about it and send your invoice. We need this data to perform our agreement with you.
Your music files
The files you upload are used only to carry out your project. You keep all rights to your music. Our Terms & Conditions explain how we may use short snippets of completed work for promotion.
When you contact us
If you contact us by email, WhatsApp or Instagram, we use your message and contact details to answer you. This is based on our legitimate interest in replying to you, or on preparing an agreement with you.
Payments and accounting
We keep payment and invoice details because Dutch tax law requires us to.
Visiting this website
Our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the website and keep it secure. This is based on our legitimate interest in a safe and working website. We don't use this data to identify visitors. We don't currently use visitor statistics or advertising tools.
Who receives your data
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. We share it only with services that help us do our work:
- Cloudflare: hosting, security, uploaded files and our booking overview.
- Web3Forms: delivers your booking form to us by email.
- Google Calendar: our planning. An entry contains the artist, release title and services, but no contact details.
- Samply and Dropbox: sharing and storing your masters.
- Payment providers and banks: processing your payment.
- Our email provider, WhatsApp and Instagram: if you contact us through them.
- Accountants and authorities: where needed for our bookkeeping or required by law.
Some of these services may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. In that case, they must use a safeguard recognised under the GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your data
- Uploaded files: deleted automatically 90 days after upload. Unfinished uploads are removed after 7 days.
- Invoices and accounting records: 7 years, as required by Dutch law.
- Booking details: up to 7 years, so we can answer questions about earlier projects.
- Masters and project links: we may keep these in our archive so we can help you with later requests. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- Messages: as long as needed to handle your question or project.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to limit or object to its use, and to receive a copy to take elsewhere. Some data, such as invoices, must be kept by law. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within one month.
If you're not happy with how we handle your data, please let us know. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (opens in a new tab), or the authority in your own country.
Cookies
This website doesn't use cookies for statistics, advertising or tracking, and that's why you won't see a cookie banner. Our booking form also doesn't store your details in your browser.
Our hosting provider Cloudflare may place a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to protect the website against abuse. These cookies don't require consent. You can remove or block cookies in your browser settings.
Links to other websites
We link to services such as Spotify, WhatsApp and Instagram. These links only load those services when you click them. Their own privacy statements then apply.
Security
We use encrypted connections, private download links that are hard to guess, and a protected login for our booking overview. If you think something is wrong, please contact us straight away.
Changes
We may update this page when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
